Philippines - 1963 10 Centavos - KM #188 - Mintage: 50,000,000
Minted by the Philadelphia Mint in:
...........March.1963: ..30,780,000
.............April, 1963: ..19,220.000
--------------------------------------------
.........................Total:.50,000,000

This copper nickel 10 centavo coin was minted by the Philadelphia mint for circulation in the Republic of the Philippines. The obverse of this coin is reminiscent of the obverse design from the previous US/Philippine Centavo series issued from 1903 through 1945. The reverse shows the shield for the Republic of the Philippines and that it was issued by the authority of the Central Bank of the Philippines

This coin is a great example of the extremely common issue from the Philadelphia mint. As often happens with very common coins though is that they are not generally sent in for certification and grading. Consequently, relatively few certified examples exist and it can be fairly easy to have one of the finest known examples.

As of this revision, the NGC population is 13/0.
