Owner Comments:

I acquired this brilliant proof buffalo nickel at auction in April 2022. It is primarily for my proof type set but may also serve as part of a "put together" 1937 proof set should I ever obtain the other coins. As brilliant proof Buffalo nickels were only made in 1936 and 1937--and most of the 1936 proofs have a satin instead of mirror finish--these pieces are substantially more expensive than other 1937 proof coins of equivalent quality.
