When looking at the pops for this date/grade it would not seem too tough to find. And PCGS examples can be found without too much fuss. But NGC graded examples are far less plentiful, as I write this the pop is 8 with a single higher. I spent over a year looking at many 1940-S coins before I found this pristine example, the search was complete. I then submitted to CAC and received a green bean.
