In 1953 the U.S. Mint sold 128,800 Proof Sets, but only 38 Lincoln Cents from that year are graded Proof 69 RD. Talk about condition-rarity! Just ONE Proof Lincoln Cent from 1953 is graded higher than this coin. It's one of the finest examples of 1953 Proof Lincoln Cents I've seen, and it’s one of the rarest coins in the Boyhood Dream Collection. It’s a beauty!
