Owner Comments:

I purchased this coin at auction in November 2021 for less than a third of its NGC Price Guide value. Though purchased mostly to increase my score in registry type sets, it is a specimen of a variety I didn't have, as my 1956 proof set in mint packaging contains the scarcer "type 1" reverse featuring a less well detailed eagle. The coin is only moderately cameoed, with a few small shiny breaks in the frost on the devices. Photos courtesy of Stacks Bowers Galleries.
