In the United States in 1834/ November 11, The rare 1804 silver dollar coin is struck by the United States Mint. In 1834, the U.S. Department of State was creating sets of coins to present as gifts to certain rulers in Asia. However, the United States Mint ceased production of silver dollars in 1804.Know as the as “original” 1804 dollars. Eight of these coins are known to exist.
