Owner Comments:
To memorialize Kennedy, following his assassination in 1963, it was decided to place him on the Half Dollar beginning in 1964. For just 1 year the Kennedy Half was produced in 90% silver making it a 1-year type. For this example, I have selected a business strike. It was produced in massive numbers the Philadelphia issue which this one is had a mintage of over 273 million, so finding one is not hard, however, only 200 graded by NGC have earned a 67, and only 26 have done better.
