1998 Gold Panda 1/10oz LARGE DATE MS69

There are two major varieties of the 1998 gold Pandas: Small Date and Large Date. The total mintage for both varieties is a very low 8,502 and therefore this date is the KEY DATE of the 1/10oz Gold Panda Series commanding the highest premiums.

Between the two varieties this Large Date variety is significantly (according to NGC population about 3times) scarcer.

Nevertheless it seems prices paid in China are more or less the same for both variety and western collectors seem to attribute more importance on differences anyway.
