Coin Description:
An incredibly clean coin that looks anything but with the naked eye. Dark, but not as dark as most 1955s, the speckled toning on the surfaces of this coin give the illusion that the coin is dreck, but with closer inspection under a loupe, it is very difficult to find even minor ticks much less major marks. The strike, luster, and surfaces are all much better than average, but the eye appeal is your standard hold your nose quality that Nagengast warned us about.

Comments:
This coin has replaced a very deeply toned MS66 that I always hated. I have come to accept that I will never be happy with any 1955. As a collector who covets eye appeal, how can I be happy with an ugly coin, and in my experience, every 1955 is just ugly. So what can make an ugly coin more attractive? How about getting it for a good price, a bargain? I purchased this coin on eBay for less than $200 on 11/10/2020. Now look at the price guide and know I am smiling!
