Owner Comments:

Sweet contrasting frosted devices against a deep mirrored field of reflectivity. This 1897-P DMPL should be in the top 5% of her grade MS65. This Dimple shows a strong strike with a slight trace of die polish in the fields. As far as I can see, it is the Vam 1 (normal die) obverse and reverse. Bought from Legend Numismatics 10/05. PCGS population reports show 22 in MS65 with only 2 higher in MS66. NGC shows a population report of 11 1897 DPL'S in MS65 with none higher.
