RARE FRANKLIN! A NUMISMATIC BEAUTY

This is one of the rarest Proof Franklins in the Boyhood Dream Collection and one of the finest surviving specimens from 1952. Most of the Franklins from the early years of the Post-War Proof series have been damaged in some way. Only 26 Franklin Half Dollars from 1952 have ever been graded Proof 68* by NGC. Just 22 examples have been graded higher than this coin. Condition-wise, it's one of the finest 1952 Proof Franklin Half Dollars I've ever seen. NGC reserves the 'Star' designation for coins that have superior eye appeal for their grade. PCGS does not use a * designation in their grading.
