Owner Comments:
No gold commemoratives were produced in 2004 or 2005. In 2006, the solo release honored the 100th anniversary of the San Francisco Mint's survival of the great earthquake of 1906. The obverse features the San Francisco Mint, nicknamed "The Granite Lady." The reverse features an eagle with arrows and olive branches in its talons, as copied from the original design that appears on the 1906 Coronet Liberty Half Eagle.
There were 17,500 uncirculated and 44,174 proof coins produced by the San Francisco Mint. The MS70 graded coins are very plentiful and easy to find. The PF70 graded dollar is also in fairly good supply as well (over 2,000 graded PF70).
Ebay auction purchase, 03/29/2016, $327.00
