A RARE '59 BEAUTY!

1,149,291 Proof Sets were sold by the U.S. Mint in 1959. But only 563 Franklin Half Dollars from that year are graded Proof 69. Talk about condition-rarity! Finding Franklins that were minted in 1959 without some kind of hazing, pitting, or toning is a challenge. Most of the Franklins produced in that year are damaged in some fashion. Just 16 specimens have been graded higher than this coin. It's one of the finest surviving examples from 1959.
