Quoting from Heritage Auctions for this piece: "This smooth and lustrous 1907 Premium Gem ten (is) an excellent type selection. Charles Barber's revised design made production simpler but sacrificed aesthetics, a worthwhile trade-off as far as Mint productivity was concerned. As a result, the hair detail around Liberty's ear is soft (per Barber's design, not from strike) and some of the lower headdress feathers lack detail. Still, this example earns high marks for eye appeal, rich medium-gold color, and an absence of any distracting marks."
