Circulation strike mintage 10,156,000

Fully struck 1945-S specimens in MS-65 or higher grades are very scarce with most poorly struck at their centers. I chose to buck the trend and search for the exception.

This coin has brilliant lustrous appearance blast white original mint luster with with fantastic eye appeal, although flat on the center obverse and a few light scattered (non-distracting) contact marks on the right field under 7x maginification.

The reverse is wonderfully pleasing with full breast and most of the left leg feathers, fully original luster and very attractive eye appeal. In hand, not nearly as flat as the center obverse.
