ONLY 31 GRADED HIGHER!

The U.S. Mint sold 57,500 Proof Sets in 1951. But only 241 Washington Quarters from that year are graded Proof 68. Finding high quality 1951 Proof Quarters is difficult. Most of the Quarters made in the early years of the Post-War Proof series are scratched, toned or damaged in some way. This is one of the finest 1951 Brilliant Proof Quarters that exists. Only 31 specimens have ever been graded higher than this coin.
