Owner Comments:
The first commemorative dollar of 2005 was the Chief Justice John Marshall Silver Dollar, issued to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Chief Justice's birth. The obverse features a side profile of John Marshall's bust. The reverse features an image of the old Supreme Court Chamber (which was once inside the Capitol building).
There were 67,096 uncirculated and 196,753 proof coins produced by the Philadelphia Mint. The MS70 graded dollars are plentiful and easy to find at an affordable price. The PF70 graded dollar is in fairly good supply as well.
