Owner Comments:
The second commemorative dollar of 2002 was the West Point Silver Dollar, issued to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Military Academy. The obverse of the coin shows the West Point color guard in parade in front of the Academy. The reverse features the Academy's bicentennial logo of a helmet (Spartan?) and sword.
There were 103,201 uncirculated and 288,293 proof coins produced by the West Point Mint. The MS70 graded dollars are plentiful and very easy to find. Perfect PF70 graded dollars moderately difficult to locate.
