Owner Comments:

The first release of commemorative dollars in 2011 honored the creation of the U.S. Army in 1775. The obverse image features a back-to-back pose by a male and female soldier. The reverse of the coin features the Great Seal of the United States with a text inscription that recites the seven core values of the Army: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage.

There were 43,512 uncirculated dollars produced by the San Francisco Mint, and 119,829 proof coins produced by the Philadelphia Mint. The MS70 and PF70 graded dollars are plentiful and easy to find at an affordable price. In fact, there are more NGC graded MS70 dollars than there are MS69 dollars.
