Owner Comments:
The only commemorative dollar issued in 2003 was the First Flight Silver Dollar. The coin honors the 100th anniversary of the Wright Flyer and the Wright brothers. The obverse of the 2003-P dollar features a portrait of the Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur. The reverse features an image of the Wright Flyer in flight.
There were 53,533 uncirculated and 190,240 proof coins produced by the Philadelphia Mint. The MS70 graded dollars are plentiful and very easy to find. Perfect PF70 graded dollars difficult to locate (I am still searching for one after six years).
