Owner Comments:
The second release of commemorative dollars in 2006 celebrates the 100th anniversary of the San Francisco Mint's survival of the great earthquake of 1906. The obverse features the San Francisco Mint, nicknamed "The Granite Lady." The reverse features an eagle with arrows and olive branches in its talons, as copied from the original design that appeared on the Morgan Dollar.
There were 67,100 uncirculated and 160,870 proof coins produced by the San Francisco Mint. The MS70 graded dollars are very plentiful and easy to find at an affordable price. The PF70 graded dollar is in fairly good supply as well.
