Owner Comments:

In 2013, the second commemorative dollar issued honors two Five Star Generals of the United States. The obverse of the coin features the busts of Generals George C. Marshall and Dwight D. Eisenhower. (By this time, Eisenhower had appeared and three different U.S. dollar coins.) The reverse features an image of the Fort Leavenworth Lamp -- the symbol of the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

There were 34,638 uncirculated coins produced by the West Point Mint. Despite the small mintage, MS70 coins outnumber MS69 graded coins by a 9:1 margin. The Philadelphia Mint produced 69,283 silver proof dollars and there is an adequate quantity of PF70 graded coins.
