The 1995 double die obverse Lincoln cent is considered one of the major varieties in the Lincoln cent series. Strong enough to see with the naked eye, the obverse doubling is prominent on the mottos “Liberty” and “In God We Trust”. Mint die manufacturing techniques changed in the late 1990’s making double die varieties all but impossible rendering the 1995 double die variety the last of its kind in the Lincoln series.
