JNDA 03-3. This is the final entry in the Dansco album. The coin was minted to commemorate the Japan World Exposition in 1970. This was held in Osaka and the theme was 'Progress and Harmony for Mankind'.
The obverse of the coin features a depiction of Mount Fuji with clouds which is modeled after a famous wood block print, along with the government legend and denomination kanji. The reverse shows the official Expo emblem which consists of a stylized globe and cherry blossom.
Diameter 28 mm, cupronickel, weight 9 grams.
