Owner Comments:

The coin shown has a remarkable obverse strike through extending from Miss Liberty's nose to her right shoulder. This I have learned is referred to as a lint strike through or lint mark. I am stunned that a cloth thread could have such a pronounced effect. I still wonder if this was a small metal fragment, to be so crisp and sharply focused. Also this is likely a one of a kind error, unless the object that created the error was stuck to the obverse die.
