The square base 2, large 8, which the Mint engraver would ultimately reject. Kneass had a keen artistic sense and a relentless drive that generated many varieties, beloved by collectors. This one is from the Roger Solomon collection. Lustrous, original appearance with colorful album toning. A die crack fully encircles the reverse near the rim.
