Owner Comments:
Purchased from July 2013 Legend -Morphy Las Vegas auction, Lot 103. Per the catalog : Ex Simpson, Very high end. Until recently the coin was in the #1 all time Simpson (PCGS) collection. The surfaces are satiny and have strong luster. You can see many Mint created die cracks & even some minor clashing, there are NO problems. Some light original toning frames the peripheries, Miss Liberty & the details are exceptionally struck. Great eye appeal. PCGS 6, NGC 4, CAC 2. According to LM's records there have never been any PCGS coins auctioned. V-1, diestate 1, diecrack from rim to 1st A in America, no sign of diecrack to C in America which appears in later die states.
