Early Releases.

Arches National Park in Utah was designated a national site in 1929. Famous for its red-rock formations, it has more than 2,000 natural stone arches, as well as hundreds of pinnacles, massive fins and giant balanced rocks.

The Arches National Park quarter is the third of 2014 and the 23rd overall in the program. The reverse depicts Delicate Arch, a 65-foot freestanding natural arch. It is a widely recognizable landmark in Utah and the most famous arch found in the park. The La Sal Mountains are visible in the background. Inscriptions are ARCHES, UTAH, 2014 and E PLURIBUS UNUM.
