O.103a R2. Newman Collection from Matt at NFC. Colorful album toning. Nice eye appeal. "1820 O-103a Half Dollar, MS63 Curl 2, Small Date. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. An arcing die crack runs from the date through star 12. Brilliant interiors are framed by concentric peripheral bands of iridescent jade-green, plum-red, and canary-gold. Abrasions are inconsequential for the grade, though we note a toning spot on the outer border of the left wing. The luster is sufficiently vibrant to support the assigned grade. This is a pretty coin, certain to attract both Guide Book and die variety collectors. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $3.50; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. Items being sold are from the extensive collection of Eric P.
