I already had this date in MS67, so why did I bother with an upgrade? I ask myself that often. I have not been a big fan of the "+" grades, but I succumbed to temptation with this one, as it is alone at the top as the highest graded GSA non-CC coin in the hard pack as of November 2012. There are two 1885-CC GSA hard packs also graded MS67+, but this is the only non-CC. It was worth a whopping 1,960 more points than the MS67. A beautiful coin, my pictures don't do it justice. It looks much nicer in hand. There is a crack in the case at 8 o'clock, which is a little distracting, but how many more 67+ coins will be graded? Not many, I suspect. Acquired privately in November 2012.
