Wilhelmina 10 gulden gold coins feature three distinct reverses with different renditions of the same coat of arms. This 1912, 10 gulden coin features the third reverse. The other two reverses are on the 1897 and 1898 coins. The Royal Dutch coat of arms features a crowned lion against a shield as a backdrop. Lions typically symbolize bravery, valor, strength, and royalty. The lion on the reverse of this coin is holding a sword in his right front paw and a bundle of seven arrows in his left. The sword is a military weapon and is symbolic of warfare and state power. The tightly clutched arrows represent the seven provinces. The arrows also represent cooperation between the provinces as individually they are vulnerable, but together they are strong. On top of the shield is a crown indicating that the House of Orange-Nassau had been elevated to royal status.

This 1912 NGC MS-66 10 Gulden coin has a mintage of 3,000,000.

I bought the original coin in this set raw on July 18, 2009 and subsequently had it graded by NGC at MS-63. For three years this coin stood in my collection until July 7, 2012 when I replaced it with a top-pop NGC MS-66. This coin with a then population report of four is rarely available for sale and I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to purchase it.
