Owner Comments:

The 1914-D has long been known as one of the keys to the entire series due to a very low mintage of 1,200,000. By far the most expensive coin I have and have ever paid for. Well struck but an unfortunate carbon spot on the obverse at Lincoln's temple is grade limiting. The surfaces are otherwise clean, the color is slightly mottled and the luster is on the low side. I would like to upgrade this one someday but still a very respectable example of a difficult key date. Housed in a PCGS holder that is listed as generation 4.1 on the PCGS site; and listed in the Conder101 reference book as generation 12.
