I was willing to go above FMV to win this coin because I wanted to make sure my collection had this particular year in a quality grade, since it was an overpriced 1783 sea-salvage coin that started my interest in collecting the 8 reales. From the Heritage April/May 2012 Auction, Chicago, Lot# 27828. KM106.2, a few obverse field marks, yet an unusually strong portrait.
