250th Anniversary of Birth of George Washington in 1982.
From my own personal collection.
With silver prices being what they are lately, even down from the high of over $20 per ounce back around 03/08/2008, I thought I should start sending more of my coins to be graded. It not only allows me to add them to my sets, but preserves them from any potential environmental damage. Not to mention that if I get some high grade coins, it is good to know for insurance purposes, or if I want to sell any!
Out of maybe 10 of these Washington half dollars in Mint State, the highest grade I got was MS68, and only TWO of those. Now I am just waiting for the coins to actually be returned from NGC with the CD that has the photos on them to include those with the profile here.
