Owner Comments:

.1829 13 Stars C-1 1C PCGS MS 64 RBThe 1828 half cent is the second highest mintage of the classic head half cents, and as such it is affordable in high grade. The present example having much origial mint luster and red. This is hard to believe in a coin almost 180 years old. This coin is actually more lustrous and eye appealing than the photos suggest. A bit weakly stuck on the obverse stars, it is more than made up for in eye appeal. The reverse is a more deep red color than the obverse, is rotated as shown in the picture, and areas of discoloration are noted above STATES OF. From Mark Feld Rare Coins. Thank you Mark!
