Date/mm Information: Most mint state coins have some sort of problem and eye appealing gems are scarce.

Coin Description:
Powerful violet centers yield to vibrant sky blue and rainbow bands of gold, pink, sapphire, yellow, cherry red, and lime green at the peripheries. A solid strike and thick mint frost in combination with vibrant powerful rainbow toning push this coin with MS66 surfaces into the MS67 realm.

Comments:
The second of three coins from a recently certified album collection obtained from an E-Bay dealer of toned coins. By far the most eye appealing 1949-D this collector has ever seen. The coin was purchased in October 2010 for a little over 6X Numismedia wholesale.
