A superb coin that looks minty to me. This is the coin that might make me start collecting these.Tough coin, though I do not know why i bought this really. Maybe I just like 1865-s anything. Well upon further inspection this coin is WAY undergraded. With the superb strike and the absence of the reverse die crack that seem to be the norm, this coin would or should be a 63 or 64 all day long. In fact I had to go through the images from Heritage to see what had come up at auction. I only saw one from 2000 that looked as good and that was a undergraded 62. Thats 13 years!!
