Owner Comments:

O.108a 1836/1336. Finest known of the die marriage and tied for claim top honors for the die marriage with one other example. One of three interesting Redbook varieties reflecting some error at the early mint. Per Bowers cataloger, "Satiny, smooth-looking surfaces are nicely toned in silver-apricot and pale-copper iridescence. With a well-executed strike and freedom from detracting blemishes, there is much to recommend this final-year Lettered Edge Half for inclusion in a high-grade set." Obtained from Bowers and Merena Auction 11/4/2010, Lot 1984.
