While the grade on the slab is MS64, IMHO this is an easy 65. There are only two well hiden contact marks on the obverse located in the hair. The reverse is stunningly clean for a 64 and IMO clean even for a 66. All of the devices are fully struck, especially the sails on the reverse. The highlight of this coin though lies in its seafoam green and lt. burgundy colored toning which seems to dance across the surface as if alive when coin is rotated.
Coin resides in a Gen.6 NGC holder in use in 1996. Coin was purchased from boardmember Broadstruck and photos of the coin used with his permission.
