In the United States in 1827/ The U.S. Mint went wild producesing various obverse and reverse die marriges. In total there are twenty nine obverse and thirty four reverse dies. Rumor has it one Bust Half collector, named Jim, has bought so many 1827 Bust halves that his wife wants to know if they minted any other date? The total marriges or varieties come to forty-nine.
