Owner Comments:
The San Francisco Mint produced two different varieties of the 1981 S Proof Roosevelt Dime where one had a filled in S (Type 1) and the other had a Clear S (Type 2). The coin above is the Type 2 Clear S version. This can be best identified by the S being clear and well defined. The Type 2 is also "flatter" in a vertical sense with more styling than the Type 1 and has rounded ends to the "S".
