1908-D Barber dime certified as AU DETAILS, IMPROPERLY CLEANED. Nice example of series with strong details on devices and very clean fields. Residual light scratches between letters in ONE DIME on reverse are evidence of cleaning. Previous owner reduced coin's value by over 50% due to this ill-advised process. Overall, dime is still pretty sharp. Cost: $29.05 on 2/27/11 on eBay from Jerry Kleindolph (oldsewmachineguy).
