Beautiful coin! The reverse of this penny features the Union Shield. It is symbolic of President Lincoln’s preservation of the United States as a single and united country. The Union Shield features thirteen stripes and the inscription “E Pluribus Unum” (Out of many, one), symbolizing the original thirteen states joined together in a single union.

I like the Lincoln 200 year commemorative labeling, since I think this coin fits in perfectly with the Life of Lincoln series.
