1928 (San Francisco)



This is one of the keys to the series in MS65, along with the '25 S. Both are 5 figure + coins. The '28 S, like the other San Francisco issues, is plagued by weak strikes. A large percentage of the population also consists of golden-toned surfaces, which doesn't fit with the rest of this set.



This coin is a bright white blazer, has a good strike with nice detail in Liberty's hair, and has minimal marks.
