Owner Comments:
This coin has a decent and satiny luster and nice golden rims. I decided to buy MS66 because the lower grades have a "bag-marks problem" and are lightly struck. Hence, to find one that is nice and sharp in a lower grades is pretty difficult and it commands a premium over the other coins from the same grade.
The large quantities of this coin were released to the public in 1960's from the Treasury vaults. Before then, they had been considered as rarities.
The circulation mintage was over 13,3 Million coins. I acquired this coin on 05/10/2006. The NGC population for this coin is 1 of 332 with only 11 graded higher as of 6/2008.
