Owner Comments:
The 1851-O is the second most common New Orleans Gold Dollar date.
There are 10 to 12 Gems known, according to Winter, and three listed at MS66, including one in the "Big Easy" set of New Orleans coins.
This coins has a sharp strike and a beautiful orange-gold coloration with frosty luster undisturbed throughout.
The coins is from the "Good River" (read Ohio, Tom Noe) collection of ill repute.
