The 1860 New Orleans date is the sixth most rare of the Double Eagle series.
This is a beautiful coin that is conservatively graded in an AU55 holder, with much luster left between the devices and on the reverse. It is quite original, which is rare for this date. This makes it an important example of the date.
The luster is semi proof-like and the color is orange gold. The obverse is free of any distracting marks, giving the coin great eye appeal.
