I graded these 56 MS coins on three different occasions---before sending them to NGC. I tried to think of them as just anybody's coins---not necessarily mine. Naturally, I was dissapointed with the poor strike of the 42S. IMHO, a better struck coin is always preferable and a poor strike should be kept at a lower MS grade. Others may not agree---and I have seen S minted coins with just 'average' strikes graded [in slabs] as MS65 coins.
