Owner Comments:

I acquired this coin on 2/28/2007.
Population 1 of 2426 as of 3/2007.

The quarter features Chimney Rock, covered wagon memorializing Nebraska's role in westward migration and a caption: "Chimney Rock."

Chimney Rock is a famous, prominent geological formation in western Nebraska. Rising nearly 300 feet (91 m) above the surrounding North Platte River valley. During the middle 19th century it served as a landmark along the Oregon Trail, the California Trail, and the Mormon Trail, which ran along the north side of the rock.

Nebraska became the 37th state in 1867.
