On this hard-to-find coin, the 1979 Type II PR69RDU displays amazing beauty and brilliant mint luster. Excellent cameo contrast and wonderful deep mirrors are present in this coin. The obverse of this example shows some wonderful toning beginning to appear accross Lincoln's left shoulder and on the edge of the hair line. The mild orange toning begins at the left rim, approximately halfway between the "Liberty" and "In God We Trust", and extends at roughly a 45 degree angle thru Lincoln's lapel, then descends vertically to the bottom edge of the rim. The toning on the hair line is below the "D" in God and is about a 4 millimeter circle. No other surface marks are present to detract from the great eye appeal of this coin.
